Do you need to visit the studio?
No visit is required. A phone conversation helps establish the project, while email keeps the agreed scope and production decisions clear. If several people are involved, appoint one coordinator to consolidate feedback.
We can communicate in English. The language of communication is separate from the language of the manuscript and any language-editing requirement, so include both in your enquiry. My portfolio and references will help you assess my publication work.
What should you send for a quote?
Send the current manuscript and explain whether editing is complete. If the book is still in preparation, provide representative material and the expected total length. Include difficult pages, such as tables, notes and illustrated sections, rather than only plain text.
State the audience, proposed size, required editions and deadline. For printing, include the quantity and delivery destination. Send the publisher's or printer's technical instructions if available. Original image files are more useful than reduced images embedded in a Word document.
What happens after the quote?
We agree the scope, price, schedule and final deliverables before production. Typesetting means arranging text and images into a consistent page layout. The design needs to support the content, the audience and the intended printing specification. Before the full commission, I can prepare a few sample pages showing the proposed layout.
How I work on these publications. Book typesetting starts at PLN 200 net per publishing unit, approximately 40,000 characters including spaces for continuous prose. Print preparation is generally included when I typeset the book. More complex material is assessed individually; see the pricing guide.

How do remote revisions work?
PDF preserves the page layout and provides a shared reference for corrections. Identify the relevant passage and the change required. Each round should refer to one clearly named file so that neither side is working from an outdated version.
Resolve conflicting comments within the editorial team before sending them. Agree the revision stages and treatment of late content changes at the outset. Final print approval must identify the precise file being approved; further changes can affect both preparation and production.
Can printing and overseas delivery be arranged?
I work with five trusted printing partners in Poland and can arrange delivery abroad. The quote depends on the book specification, quantity and destination. Transport timing and any additional delivery requirements must be agreed for that order.
Did you know? Poland is one of the world's largest exporters of printed products: according to Trade.gov.pl, it ranked sixth in 2024, with the sector's exports worth about EUR 1.65 billion. Printing a book in Poland for readers abroad is a well-established choice.
If you require a physical sample, include its preparation and delivery in the schedule. An event deadline should be based on receiving the books, not merely completing printing. Alternatively, I can prepare the agreed files for your own printer using its specification.

How are payment and final files agreed?
Payment can also be arranged in EUR or GBP on individually agreed terms. The quote states the currency, amount and payment terms.
List the files you need: a print PDF, screen edition and ebook are distinct deliverables. Editable source files require a separate agreement. Supply the commissioning organisation's billing details before ordering and discuss any anticipated future editions.
