Full publication typesetting: from novels through popular science to academic monographs. Every character in its right place, every page in rhythm.
Every typographic decision affects the rhythm of reading. Margins, gutter, leading, baseline grid, these decide whether a book "sits well in the hands".
Good typography is invisible. The reader notices neither the typeface nor the spacing, and simply moves through the text. It is the result of deliberate decisions: the chosen typeface, the size, the leading and the column width. Change any of these and you will feel the reading rhythm shift.

Text arrives as one flat block, with no hierarchy and no breathing room. After typesetting: deliberate margins, a baseline grid, running heads, an initial and typography that guides the eye across the page.
Pasted tables drift and break the rhythm of the page. After the work: aligned columns, clear headers, consistent spacing and leader lines that bring order even to dense data.
